Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRFSO) companies and organisations must ensure where necessary fire-fighting equipment is provided.
Companies and organisations must ensure that any fire-fighting equipment are adequately maintained, in efficient working order and good repair.
All precautions provided must to be subject to maintenance and must be installed and maintained by a competent person.

There are 2 types of maintenance procedures with regards to portable fire extinguishers:
Basic Inspection by the user; and
Maintenance by competent person

Commissioning of Fire Extinguishers

Our FIA trained engineers can attend site to conduct, supply and service your fire extinguishers which is carried out to BS 5306-3 standards.
We as a company do not offer “service contracts” for your servicing of fire extinguishers. We believe you should not be tied to one company and feel you have to pay the increasing invoice every year.
On attendance to site, our engineers will conduct your servicing at your fixed price, if any extinguishers require replacing or it involves replacing parts, we will inform the customer of the costs involved at the time of inspection. Only after customer agreement will we replace/install parts to your fire extinguishers.
As Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is required for businesses and organisations, why not get this done at the same time as your fire extinguisher servicing. The benefits of one site visit, one annual date and lower charges will save you money.

We hold specific insurance for hire of fire extinguishers and can provide fire safety advice and fire risk assessments for your event or additional requirements.
Disposal of Fire Extinguishers
All fire extinguishers have an operational lifespan, and must be checked and replaced at regular intervals. The extinguishing agents inside can corrode the casing, causing some units to become unsafe or inoperable.
