Working at Height Course (WAH 001)

This Working at Height Course seeks to provide employees who may be required to work at height the core concepts of how to work safely. Falls from height is still a major killer within the workplace in the UK.

Our working at height training course helps you to comply with the Work at Height Regulations 2005 by providing employers and employees with the necessary information needed to be able to successfully deal with working at height risks and control measures. This includes an understanding of how to use access equipment safely and how to ensure that employees can reduce their risk of falls from height. Training can be conducted at client premises or at our training venue in central Norfolk which is 30 minutes from Norwich and Kings Lynn.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Module 1: The ability to define working at heights
  • Module 2: Identify accident causation in height at work
  • Module 3: An overview of legislation of working at heights
  • Module 4: Planning and organisation of working at heights
  • Module 5: Identify hazards of working at heights
  • Module 6: Use of ladders and step ladders
Working at Height Course
  • Delivery Method: Theory based with practical training and assessment (4 hours)
  • Prerequisite: None, although a working knowledge of working and height is an advantage
  • Awarding Body: APF Safety Services Ltd
  • Assessment: Multiple choice test paper and practical skills assessment
  • Certification:┬áCertificate of Training valid for 3 years issued upon successful completion
